Greenday_2037

GreenDay is a simple environmental movement to provide the conscientious being with a new or renewed consciousness to recognize the need and occasions for improvements. Tom Tor AKA Eskimo participated in a conference at Ikejiri Institute of Design in Tokyo, Japan. Concepts were shared at this Design Pitch, where 11 outstanding creators participated and presented their ideas based on the theme: “The green landscape in 2037.”

Tom Tor created a strong ad campaign consisting of a set of FSC compliant postcards and a motion graphics reel. Each set has 15 postcards with clever messages on various ways one can make a difference. With the use of snailmail and hi-tech podcasts to spread the word, TT continues their efforts of making the world a better place. In addition to the artistic side of being creative is the humanistic side of doing projects that are more than commercial projects - TomTor and Eskimo Philosophy.

Climate Crisis Save the Planet

DESCRIPTION: Climate Crisis The rapidclimate change which the earth has experienced in the last 120 years is primarily due to humanactivities like generating carbon dioxide from personal transportation, home energy use and from theenergy used to produce all of the products and services we consume. As the earth warms out of stepwith its natural cycle, glaciers melt, arctic ice thins, ocean levels rise and coral reefs die fromoverheated waters. Change a light. Drive less. Recycle more. Use less hot water. Avoid products with alot of packaging. Plant a tree. Turn off electronic devicesSmall changes to your daily routine can addup to big changes in helping to stop global warming. You have the power to make a difference.GreenDayis a simple environmental movement to provide the conscientious being with a new or renewedconsciousness to recognize the need and occasions for improvements.

Living Greener 8Ways You Can Make a Difference

DESCRIPTION: Be Water Wise The earth is 70% water, but only but only .036% of it is drinkable and available for use. Baths are relaxing, but taking a short shower uses less than the 50 gallons it takes to fill a tub. Modern dishwashers are more efficient and don’t require any pre-rinsing. Turning off the water while brushing your teeth can save 150 gallons a month—a good idea when shaving or washing your face, too. Install a low-flow toilet and fix those leaky faucets. Wash only full-loads of laundry and use warm water instead of hot to save energy—your clothes will be just as clean.
