Sisamouth is a custom font commissioned by the Phnom Penh Post for sections dedicated to celebrating the lost Rock & Roll music.
The typeface inspired by Cambodia's lost Rock & Roll in1960s & the 1970s was a thriving and prolific music scene based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The typeface was named after the legendary Khmer singer-songwriter Sinn Sisamouth to honor his work to keep his memory alive. It is mainly developed for headings, logos, and displays. We designed it precisely to give a rounded, saw-rigid edge and it can be connected together with the joint to emphasize "UNITY" and still give it a nostalgic and inviting look as well.
